PEYGAMBERE EFENDİ DENİLİR Mİ?

Bazı hadis inkarcıları “efendi” sözcüğünün sadece Allah için kullanılması gerektiğini hz.Muhammed(sav) için “peygamber efendimiz” tabirinin şirk olduğunu iddia ederler. Ayrıca bunun yanında hadislerde bu konuyla çelişkili ifadeler bulunduğunu iddia ederler. Buyrun ilgili hadislere bakalım öncelikle;

Peygambere “Sen bizim efendimizsin!” diye hitap ettik. Allah Resulü; “Efendi, Allah’tır!” buyurdular. (1)

Ben ademoğlunun efendisiyim. Bunu söylemem övünmek değildir. (2)

Bir soru ile başlayalım; her iki hadis de Ebu Davud’da geçer, peki sizce Ebu Davud iki hadisi yazarken çelişkiyi fark edemedi mi? Yoksa başka bir cevabı mı var? Ayrıca ek olarak şu bilgiyi de verelim; buna benzer olarak efendi sözcüğü başka bir rivayette de Hz.Ebubekir için kullanılmıştır. Yine bir rivayette Hz.Hamza için “şehitlerin efendisi” olarak kullanılmıştır.Cevaba gelirsek;

Burda asıl önemli olan “efendi” sözcüğüne yüklediğiniz anlamdır. Eğer efendi sözcüğünü “sahibi” ve “ilahı” gibi anlamlarda kullanıyorsanız ilk hadisteki gibi “efendi Allah’tır” yani hepimizin sahibi Allah’tır demeniz lazım. Ama diğer rivayetlerde ise efendi sözcüğü önder, lider gibi anlamlarda kullanıldığı için peygamber veya herhangi bir halife için kullanılmasında sorun görülmemiş. Nitekim benzer rivayetlerden peygamberin hem bu dünyada hem de kıyamette insanlara önder olduğu geçer.

Bunun yanında, hadisin Arapça’sında da “efendi” sözcüğü “rab” olarak değil “Seyyid” olarak geçer. Hadisin ingilizce çevirisinde de ilgili sözcük rab veya god(tanrı) olarak değil lord yani kral, önder anlamında çevrilmiş. Kısacası bu anlamdaki efendi sözcüğünün insanlar için kullanılmasında bir sorun yok.

Nitekim bizzat Kur’an’da da buna benzer örnekler var. Örneğin; Ali İmran 39 ayetinde hz.Yahya için “seyyiden” yani efendi ibaresi kullanılıyor. Peki hadis inkarcılarına soralım; sizce bu ayette de Allah haşa Yahya peygambere ilah mı demiş oluyor? Yine örneğin Yusuf 23 ayetinde hz.Yusuf, Züleyha’ın eşini kastederek “o benim efendimdir” diyor. Peki sizce Yusuf peygamber, Mısır’ın azizini ilah olarak mı görüyordu? Ne diyorsunuz, hz.Yusuf da şirk mi işledi şimdi?

Zekeriya mabedde namaz kılarken melekler ona, “Allah sana, kendisinden gelen bir kelimeyi (İsa’yı) doğrulayıcı, EFENDİ, nefsine hâkim ve salihlerden bir peygamber olarak Yahya’yı müjdeler” diye seslendiler.(Ali İmran 39)

Evinde bulunduğu kadın (gönlünü ona kaptırıp) ondan arzuladığı şeyi elde etmek istedi ve kapıları kilitleyerek, “Haydi gelsene!” dedi. O ise, “Allah’a sığınırım, çünkü o (kocan) benim EFENDİMDİR, bana iyi baktı. Şüphesiz zalimler kurtuluşa eremezler” dedi. (Yusuf 23)

Günümüzde ise bu kelime “bey” anlamına yakın bir anlamda da kullanılır. Örneğin Agâh efendi, kemallettin efendi gibi. Yine örneğin garsonların bir müşteri karşısında “buyrun efendim, tabi efendim” gibi kalıpları sık sık kullandığına şahit olmuşuzdur. Peki sizce garsonlar müşterileri tanrı olarak mı görüyor? Veya bu kelimeyi kullandığı için dinden mi çıkmış oldular? Peki bunlara karşı değilken efendi sözcüğünün peygamber için kullanılmasından neden rahatsız oluyorsunuz?
